Vase made of stump alder

Short description:

This vase made of stump-cut alder is characterized by a diagonal grain. The height of the vase is approximately 20.5 cm.

Material:

The grain of alder wood is relatively simple and has a slightly reddish color with golden accents. Depending on the light, the wood will darken slightly in its new home.

The special grain of the vase results from the stagnation of the wood. This occurs when the wood lies on the forest floor for a long time and is colonized by fungi that decompose it. If this process is interrupted at the right time by drying the wood, interesting patterns such as black lines and unique color nuances arise.

Please note : This vase is made of wood and is therefore only suitable for dried flowers. Filling it with water is not possible as this would damage the material.
