Material:
Chestnut wood is a light to medium-weight wood that is characterized by high durability and resistance, which makes it particularly suitable for practical use, such as in the kitchen. With its warm, golden brown color and fine, even grain, it gives every object an elegant look. In addition, chestnut wood is easy to process mechanically and by hand and is a sustainable alternative to tropical woods, as it is widely used in Europe.
The wood for these plates comes from a chestnut tree in my grandparents' garden in Oldenburg .
