Short description:
This harmoniously coordinated pair of vases consists of two different shapes and has heights of approx. 28 cm and approx. 26.5 cm.
Material:
When building a new horse stable on the property of a farm friend, the old roof beams were to be used as firewood. However, since they have a long history, I decided to use them for wood turning instead.
Since spruce is a relatively common wood, I treated the finished turned vases using the Yakisugi method and then brushed them . This process of wood finishing involves burning the surface in a controlled manner. This technique originated in Japan in the 18th century when farmers were looking for ways to protect their wooden houses.
Please note : This pair of vases is made of wood and is therefore only suitable for dried flowers. Filling them with water is not possible as this would damage the material.
